About Mudskippers
Mudskippers belong to the goby family and are one of the few groups of fish that regularly spend time out of the water. As long as they remain moist, they can breathe through their skin and the lining of their mouths. Their raised eyes help them watch for predators while moving across mudflats, and their strong pectoral fins allow them to travel surprisingly well on land.
