Critter Intros: Veiled Chameleon
The Veiled Chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus) is a large, arboreal lizard native to the Arabian Peninsula, recognizable by the prominent, cone-shaped casque on its head . This casque helps channel water for drinking. Like all chameleons, it has a prehensile tail and independently swiveling eyes. Color change is mainly for communication and mood, not just camouflage. This insectivore hunts using an incredibly long, sticky, and fast-projecting tongue.

Critter Intros: Sea Sheep
The Sea Sheep (Costasiella kuroshimae) is a tiny, adorable sea slug from the Indo-Pacific that resembles a cartoon sheep. It performs indirect photosynthesis through kleptoplasty ("stolen plastids"), by eating algae and incorporating the chloroplasts into its body. Stored in its back protrusions (cerata), these give the slug its color and allow it to generate energy from sunlight. Its "ears" are sensory rhinophores.
