The capybara is the largest rodent on Earth. These large rodents are some of the calmest animals and are known for their docile nature and their ability to seemingly get along with almost any animal they come across. Although they do have a few predators, they have gained media attention for befriending animals that are known to be predators but do not eat them, such as alligators. Capybaras not only get along with other animals, but they also enjoy being in groups of other capybaras, called herds.
As a social animal that has also become famous on social media, the capybara is truly one of the most amusing and lovable animals, with much more to explore.
